Credit Bureau Status Codes

Following are codes that can be entered in to the Status field on the Credit Bureau Reporting Information screen.

  • IMPORTANT: Remember that if this field is left blank, CU*BASE will automatically assign the appropriate code based on the status of the loan at the time reporting is done to the credit bureau.

NOTE: Do not report Status Code 95 for early termination of leases.

Unpaid balance reported as a loss by credit grantor (charge-off).

Delete entire account (for reasons other than fraud).

This code will appear as 41 in the CBSTAT field of the MEMBER5/6 table.

NOTE: In order to maintain the integrity of credit information, it is important that credit grantors not ask for a subsequent deletion of account history unless an actual error was reported. Paid derogatory accounts, such as collections, should be reported as paid; they should not be deleted.

Delete entire account due to confirmed fraud (fraud investigation completed).

This code will appear as 46 in the CBSTAT field of the MEMBER5/6 table.
