Subsidiary Item Creation

Access this screen by selecting Tool #310: Create Subsidiary Detail.

This is the first in a series of screens used to set up item records for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accrued expenses.

Choose a subsidiary item type from the list provided. You may type a specific item number if desired (you will be prompted if the number is already in use), or leave the Item Number field blank and the system will automatically assign the next available number to the new record. Use Enter or click GO! to proceed to the next screen for the selected item type.

CU*TIP: As a shortcut, simply click on the desired subsidiary type at the bottom of the screen, or use the Alt+ shortcut key to create a new item using the next available number.

Subsidiary Types

Type

Description

AE Accrued Expenses

Used to set up accrued expense items, such as taxes, pension, legal expenses, etc.

BA Building Assets

Similar to Fixed Assets, this item type is used specifically for building assets.

FA Fixed Assets

Used to set up fixed asset items, such as furniture, equipment, supplies, etc.

LA Land Assets

Similar to Fixed Assets, this item type is used specifically for land assets.

LI Leased Assets

Similar to Fixed Assets, this item type is used specifically for leased assets, such as vehicles or other equipment.

PE Prepaid Expenses

Used to set up prepaid expense items, such as prepaid service contracts, organization dues, etc.
