Field Descriptions

Field Name

Description

Description

Describes the configuration. Example: DCG Card Wizard Interface xx. Field name: Desc. Defaults to DCG Card Wizard Interface xx. Must not be blank.

Server host name

Host name or I.P. address. It is the standard name for the box CU*BASE is running on. Default: LOCALHOST. Field name: Hostnam. Must not be blank.

Server job name

Name of job that is running under the ICIHOST subsystem communicating between Card Wizard and the CU*BASE server. Example: TD#08890R. Please follow naming conventions: (1-2/credit union id; 3/the # sign; 4-8/port number; 9/R for remote). Field name: Servnam. Must not be blank.

Server program

The CU*BASE ICI Server Program connects as a Client to the DCG Card Wizard Server via DCG port  8890 (ref.1). The ICI Server program also opens up a second local port for communicating with the CU*BASE application. (Ref 1: Default DCG TCP/IP Port). Default to: PICSRV1. Field name: Srvpgm. Must not be blank.

Server client jobs data queue

The Data Queue that contains the Job Names associated with this instance of the server. The server program will reference this queue to see what jobs to kill when the ENDSBS/ENDJOB command is detected and/or end any lingering jobs running when a new instance of the interface is started. That is the main purpose of this queue. Default to: ICICLIJOBQ. Field name: Clijob. Must not be blank.

Vendor host name

The I.P. address or host table entry name of the PC that has the Card Wizard Server. Normally this is not set up in the TCP/IP host table and the dotted I.P. address is used. Field name: Filed. Must not be blank.

Vendor socket #

DCG port number being used to communicate between CU*BASE and Card Wizard. Example: 08890. Must not be zero. This matches to the configuration on the Card Wizard Server. 08890 is the standard number that Card Wizard uses. It can be overridden, but that is how the card wizard system is typically configured. Field name: Vndsoc.

Client job name

Name of job running the client program. This is the client job that our ICI server submits after connecting to Card Wizard. Example: TD#08892L. Must not be blank. Field name: Clinam. Default to: PCICLI1. Please follow naming conventions: (1-2/credit union id; 3/the # sign; 4-8/port number; 9/L for local). Note the port number must be unique for each credit union.

Client socket #

CU*BASE Port number used by our client job to push messages to the Card Wizard Socket. Example: 08892. Field name: Clisoc. Edit: Must not be zero. This matches the port number defined in the Server job name (documented previously). It must be a unique local CU*BASE port number.

Client NEP program

Client never ending program. This is the program running which takes requests from CU*BASE data queue and sends them to the CU*BASE server via socket. It is associated with the Client Job name and socket number. Example: PICCLI1. Field name: Clinep. Edit: Must not be zero. This matches the port number defined in the Server job name (documented previously). It must be a unique local CU*BASE port number. Default to: PCICLI1.

ICI request data queue

CU*BASE application sends ICI thru this data queue. The client NEP picks it up and passes it on. Field name: RQSDTQ.

Vendor message log

This is the in/out received from vendor. Currently in XML format for DCG. Field name: Msglog. Default to ICIMSG1.

Subsystem controlling server

All instances of instant issue run under this subsystem. Usually one subsystem per iSeries. Example: ICIHOST. Field name: Srvsbs. Default to ICIHOST.

Standard message log

Outgoing request messages that are passed thru the data queue prior to converting to XML. Field name: Msgstd. Default to ICISTD1

Jobd for submitting clients

Typically the same as the sbsd. It routes all the jobs under the subsystem. Field name: Clijobd. Default to subsystem name (ICIHOST)

Exception log file

Error message log file. Field name: Msgexc. Default to ICIEXC1.

Vendor ISO format function

This is the program that converts the standard message format to DCG XML message format. Field name: Isofmt. Default to STD2DCG.

Server status

Active or held. Used by the Auto start up job. Field name: Srvsts.

Special keyword

Not currently used. Field name: Keywrd.

Auto start

Yes or no. Determines if should automatically start the jobs under the subsystem. The whole instance of this instant issue. Field name: Autstr.

Log request

Yes or no. Certain things need to be logged ICIMSG1. Field name: Logrqs.

User name

Card Wizard user name to used to logon to the card wizard server. Field name: Usrnam.

User password

Card Wizard password to login to their system. Field name: Usrpwd.

Character set

Always ASCII for Card Wizard. Field name: Dtatyp.
