Report the total amount of unfunded commitments that are unconditionally cancelable. An unconditionally cancelable commitment means a commitment that a credit union may, at any time, with or without cause, refuse to extend credit under the commitment.

For open-end loans, run Tool #280 Contingent Liability Analysis Report  by quarter end date. Include all loan types (process types L, O, V and C).  Use the ‘Contingent Liability’ total for the appropriate loan category  code(s) that identify  this loan grouping.

For closed-end loans, run the Trial Balance from Tool #788 Selective Loan Information Report by quarter end date. Select the code (G/L#, category, purpose code or security code) that correlates closest to this loan grouping. On the Summary page, ‘Selected Loans’ column, subtract the ‘Total Loan Balance’ from the ‘Total Loans Disbursed’ to obtain the unfunded portion of commitments.
