CBX Transition Information

At this point, your credit union has likely transitioned and been granted CBX access. As a review, here are the integral steps to prepare your credit union:

Review Network and Bandwidth Requirements

Start with reviewing your network and system requirements. Use the following link to ensure that your credit union is up to standard and ready to use CBX.

Check Your Availability Date

Use the CBX Availability schedule to find your credit union's date. Remember, this is not a conversion nor a lengthy onboarding process, this date simply means that is when CBX is available for your credit union to begin using alongside CU*BASE GOLD.

Install Station Control on Workstations

As GOLD transitions to CBX, we are shifting from an application that runs directly on a workstation to a more modern, browser-based solution. Previously, GOLD relied on command-line arguments and local temporary files to interact with multiple applications. This approach is not sustainable for the future, as web browsers lack the capability to execute command-line requests and require called applications to be installed and registered on the system. To address this limitation, we’ve developed a centralized application called Station Control to validate and manage requests for specific applications.

Station Control MUST be installed on each workstation prior to using CBX.

CNS teams installed Station Control on Complete Care/Managed Services client workstations, however, clients that are not part of the Complete Care/Managed Services will need to install Station Control on each workstation prior to their availability date.

Welcome to CBX Document (keep your eyes on this document as it evolves to include information we learn in the Alpha process!)

Keep Up with Alpha Updates

Now that we've transitioned all credit unions to CBX alpha, keep up with updates and news at the CBX Updates website!

Remember, the "Let Us Know" feature is only intended for aesthetic things and tweaks to the UI (overlapping text, weird alignment, weird placement of fields or tab order that is awkward, etc.). If anything is actually not working, the first step is to try it in GOLD (you’d be surprised how often you’ll find it works exactly the same as before!), then contact a CSR in the usual way.

Why do I see CBX and CU*BASE information in online help?

As we transition from CU*BASE GOLD to CBX as our core processing software, our documentation teams are working to transition the online help content. You will see more CBX content, and less CU*BASE content, as we move forward with the transition. Rest assured that each screen's online help will be applicable to either software you are working on. We appreciate your patience while we make this transition.

Why can't I see OPER screen help when I click from CBX?

Currently, the OPER online help exists in it's original location, and hasn't yet been transitioned to the new CBX online help. To review OPER online help, use the menu at the top of the screen to navigate to the help system, and use the search to find your specific screen.
