This is the third and final screen used when paying dividends from an individual certificate account type. Enter an amount no greater than the accrued dividend into the Pay Dividend of field and use Enter to perform the transfer of dividend funds. Depending on the type of CD, the dividends will either be transferred back to the CD balance, or to the designated transfer account.
Field Descriptions
Field Name |
Description |
Base Share Balance |
Regardless of the type of account being used, this field shows the current balance for the member's base (-000) share account. |
Certificate Amount |
This is the original CD amount. |
Current Balance |
The current balance of the account. |
Total Dividends |
The total amount of dividends earned by the certificate account since it was opened. |
Dividends Withdrawn |
The amount of any dividends already withdrawn from the account. |
Div Withholding |
If this member is subject to dividend withholding (set up in the member profile), this field shows the amount which is being withheld for payment to the IRS. |
Penalty Amount |
Any penalties incurred for early withdrawals from this CD. |
Net Balance |
The Certificate Amount, plus Total Dividends, minus Dividends Withdrawn, minus Div Withholding, minus Penalty Amount. |
Dividend Accrued |
The total dividends accrued to date but not yet added to the account balance. |
Date of Issue |
The date on which this certificate was created. |
Maturity Date |
The date on which this certificate matures. |
Certificate Rate |
The interest rate earned by this CD. |
Pay Dividend of |
Enter the desired amount of dividends to be added to the account balance. This field is required, and can be less than or equal to the amount shown in the Dividend Accrued field. |
Dividend Transfer To Account |
This field appears only for CDs which are configured so that dividends are transferred to another account number, rather than back into the CD balance. The field shows the account to which the dividends will be added, and cannot be changed here. |
