If your credit union is using a vendor to process ATM surcharge fees rebates (from foreign ATMs) to your members, you can do this directly in CU*BASE! Maybe you are a credit union who has not offered this service as a reward to your members? Consider starting now!
CU*BASE allows you to configure the rebate program two ways - per DIVAPL (all members with an account of the DIVAPL receive the rebate), or as part of the rewards of a Qualified Dividend product (only members with qualifying enrollments, such as bill pay or e-Statements, and/or number or amount of transactions, such as ACH, receive the reward). This gives you the flexibility to choose which members are eligible to receive the rebate.
First access this screen via Tool #143:ATM Surcharge Rebate Reward Program Cfg to set up an ATM Surcharge Routine. Use "Add Routine" (F6) from this screen to the detail screen which allows you to configure the rebate and set the maximum dollar amount of the reward. Once this routine is created, select it in the Dividend Application configuration.

You can refund ATM service fees, ATM surcharge fees, or both! Since the ATM service charge rebate programs are attached to a dividend application, your credit union has the flexibility to offer rebates only on specific types of accounts, for example VIP checking. You can even tie your refund to a Qualified Dividends program and reward only the members that meet the requirements to receive a higher qualified dividend. ATM surcharge rebates are posted to member accounts monthly. CU*BASE calculates and posts the service rebate as one deposit, not exceeding the maximum monthly rebate amount. Members see the rebate, along with the description configured in the ATM surcharge configuration on their statements. Two end-of-month reports (posting and exceptions) assist you with monitoring your program.
To view your surcharge routine, access this screen via Tool #144: ATM Surcharge Rebate Reward Program Inq. Select the routine and then Select to move to the detail screen.
