Access this screen by selecting Tool #295 Create Credit Card LetterChecks File.
If you are a CU*BASE online credit card client, FIS LetterCheck processing is available using this tool. These paper checks are sent by FIS to your qualified cardholders as a marketing piece to encourage credit card use. There is a scheduled mailing list that includes several marketing themes.
Using this screen, first gather a list of eligible credit cards based on the APR of the cash advance charge type 999 (CA 999) including Pre-determined TERM IDs from FIS.
-
NOTE: If CA 999 is not the current default cash advance charge type, then the APR of that charge type will be used (for example CA 998).
Exclusions you can select include:
-
Account open date
-
Available credit amount
-
Delinquency status (months and days). If more than 30 days is entered in the days field, this is converted to months and days.
-
The presence of a user defined code. Learn more about user defined codes.
Additionally, the system will automatically exclude:
-
Block codes that stop incoming transactions from being authorized so that closed or hot cards are not included
-
Wrong addresses
-
Loans with a freeze code of 1 or 3 (no disbursements allowed)
-
Date of death attached to the membership
You then have two choices for handling the file that is generated and placed in your QUERYxx library. You can audit the file, or you can select to securely deliver it directly to FIS for processing. Select Report only to generate an audit report. Select Transmit file to generate a final report and transmit the file to FIS.
-
The option to automatically transmit the file is only available to CU*Answers online clients. Self-processors and cuasterisk.com clients will need an alternate method and should contact Cards & Payments for assistance.
