Access this screen by selecting Tool #199 Change User Name Login Password (Shortcut: userpw).

This screen is used to change the password used to log on to the CBX system. Enter the current password (once) and new password (twice) and click the forward arrow to make the change. To help keep your password secret, you will always see asterisks (****) in place of the password when typing it.

Recommended practice is to use a passphrase, such as 1t'saLOVELYd@y!

Password Rules

• Must be at least 15 characters. Maximum length is 128 characters.

• Must contain a digit.

• Must not contain your user ID.

• Must include an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and special character.

  • The allowed special characters include ! @ # $ % ^ & ( ) - _ + = [ ] { } | \ ; : ' " , . < > / ? ~ ``

  • You cannot start a password with an asterisk *.

  • You also cannot start or end a password with a space.

• Must not be one of your last 32 passwords. (You do not need to remember your last 32 passwords—the system will let you know if you attempt to use a password you have already used in the past.)

• Passwords expire automatically periodically (such as every 30 or 60 days, for example – the timing is controlled by your data processing center). You will be notified when it is time to change your password.
