Access this screen by selecting Tool #199 Change User Name Login Password (Shortcut: userpw).

This screen is used to change the password used to log on to the CU*BASE system. Enter the current password (once) and new password (twice) and use Enter to make the change. To help keep your password secret, you will always see asterisks (****) in place of the password when typing it.

Password Rules

• Must be between 8 and 20 characters.

• Must contain a digit.

• Must not contain your user ID.

• Must include an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and special character.

• Important: The special character must be one of the following:  !, @, #, $, %, ^, &, or *. No other special characters are allowed.

• Must not be one of your last 32 passwords. (You do not need to remember your last 32 passwords—the system will let you know if you attempt to use a password you have already used in the past.)

• Passwords expire automatically periodically (such as every 30 or 60 days, for example – the timing is controlled by your data processing center). You will be notified when it is time to change your password.
