This screen is used to create the file that is send to the credit bureaus for reporting the status of your member loans, using the Metro 2 format.
How does the Metro 2 program currently report credit limits to the bureaus
Because several of these fields should be changed only in very special situations, you will need to use Unlock Fields (F11) to unlock fields that do not allow input.
When ready, use Enter to generate the file CBTRPT01 in your FILExx library (where xx is your credit union ID). This can then be downloaded to a secure computer* ready to be sent to the credit bureau(s). Contact your bureau(s) for instructions.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Remember that this file contains member information; be sure you have a procedure for securing the computer and purging the file as appropriate.
Field Descriptions
Field Name |
Description |
Month/year to process |
Will be either current file information or prior month end file information. The default is the previous month/year. If you enter a previous month/year greater than last month, the system will look for EOM files in FILEXXE. If not found, you will be required to load the EOM files from tape. |
Corporation ID |
Will select only accounts with the same Corp ID. |
Last month/year processed |
Used to identify closed accounts that were closed after the last date processed. This will default to the last month/year when files were processed and is stored in SYSCTL record CRBXX where XX = Corp ID. This is typically two months back from current date.

Create L1 segment for converted accounts |
This will change current information being reported to the old account based on what is in the XRWORK file. The new account information will be in the L1 segment. This tells the bureau to switch reporting from the old account to the new account. Normally the XRWORK file is built during conversion. If the account is not found in XRWORK, the old account and the new account will be the same. This should only be run once when changing converted accounts to a new reporting account number. |
