Access this screen by using Add (F6) or Edit on the initial ChexSystems Interface Configuration screen.

Contact Lender*VP for assistance.   

This screen configured once a client has  secured services with FIS/ ChexSystems for the Qualfiile solution.  The Lender*VP team will complete the area once FIS provides us with critical information and the client returns a Sign Up Form. This screen is also used when to adds a new branch and would like to use the Risk Assessment Tool at that branch.  

This screen lets you control how the QualiFile interface will behave. Many of the data elements on this screen must be obtained by the credit union from their ChexSystems representative; refer to the QualiFile Sign Me Up form that was completed by the credit union for these settings.

  • NOTE:  Non-member scans can be performed if the non-member is added to the system during the opening or update of a membership.  In this case the credit score qualifier is not used since no score is available.  The scan configuration for the branch of the member is used in these instances. This type of scan must be manually run and cannot be included in workflow controls (see below).

After completing all fields, use Update (F5) to save changes and return to the previous screen.

Field Descriptions

Field Name

Description

Corp ID

Enter the credit union Corporate ID (usually 01).

Branch

Enter the credit union branch/location number (as defined in their Chart of Accounts).

Allow risk assessment scans

This flag must be checked to activate all of the QualiFile functionality. You can leave it unchecked while filling in the remaining fields, then return later and activate it when ready. (You can also deactivate a branch if the CU decides later they do not wish to use the interface from a particular branch, either temporarily or permanently.)

Next request #

This is a sequence number used internally by the system to tie a request to a resulting report. This will default to 0000000001 on a new branch record.

(NOTE: There is a file in the FILExx library (CHEXSLOG) which stores a record of all risk assessment scans that were run by the credit union, by branch, by request #. This is used for various purposes including billing.)

Do not run scan if member is below age

This control is intended to reduce the cost of the scans by avoiding running them on all members. If this flag is set to 18, then scans would not be run automatically for members 17 or younger.

Get this setting from the QualiFile Sign Me Up form completed by the credit union.

Do not run scan if member credit score is greater than

This control is intended to reduce the cost of the scans by avoiding running them on all members. If this flag is set to 750, then scans would not be run automatically for any members with a score of 751 or higher.

Get this setting from the QualiFile Sign Me Up form completed by the credit union.

CU*TIP: If a credit union has activated QualiFile in their Workflow Controls, and they also wish to use this credit score cut-off feature, then it is recommended that they activate Credit report pulls in the Workflow Controls as well (so that a credit report gets pulled before this risk assessment evaluation of the credit score occurs).

Acquirer ID

This is the ID that represents our relationship with ChexSystems. Enter 181989 in all cases.

Customer ID

Enter the credit union’s ChexSystems Customer ID number for this branch.

Get this setting from the QualiFile Sign Me Up form completed by the credit union.

Version #

This represents the QualiFile version supported for our interface. Enter N003 here.

Strategy type indicator

Enter the credit union’s ChexSystems Strategy type ID for this branch. (Although ChexSystems does offer multiple Strategy Types per pull, CU*BASE only supports a single static setting per branch. In fact, it is recommended the same ID be used for all of the credit union’s branches.)

Get this setting from the QualiFile Sign Me Up form completed by the credit union.

Domain name

This represents our relationship with ChexSystems. Enter EDC.CUANSWERS.COM in all cases.

Port

This represents our relationship with ChexSystems. Enter 3141 in all cases.

Default memo type codes for AT trackers

Choose one of the credit union’s defined Memo Type codes to be used when generating Audit Tracker notes under the following circumstances:

QualiFile Scan Passed (“ACCEPT”)

QualiFile Scan Partial Pass (“REVIEW”)

QualiFile Scan Fail (“DECLINE”)

Get these from the QualiFile Sign Me Up form completed by the credit union. It is recommended that the CU define three new ones just for this purpose, but they could use existing codes if they wish. These are simply used for the credit union’s own tracking purposes. An entry is required, however, in all three fields.
