Access this loan by selecting Tool #456: Loan Application Analysis Report.
Practical uses of this report:
With this tool, create a report:
-
To evaluate the productivity of your loan officers. What is the “look to book” for your lenders—meaning how many loans that cross their desks are approved, and how many are denied or still sitting in pending status?
-
To see your most popular loan category, purpose, or security code assigned to a loan for the month. Did rates or promotions affect this number? Conversely, what category had a low application rate? Do you have a product that needs a boost?
-
Over a period of time to see if the interest rate associated with booked loans is increasing or decreasing compared to the weighted average associated with the loan portfolio. Evaluate the numbers. Is change needed? Make some good loans.
With CU*BASE lending tools, credit union lending departments can record all lending member activity, whether loans are approved or denied, to allow your management team to see a well-rounded picture of the lending department's activity.
To make that picture even clearer, the Application Analysis Report shows a full statistical analysis of six different areas for the month's loan application activity. Each area is broken down into an analysis showing total applications processed, as well as the totals for Approved, Denied, and Pending applications. With this tool, one report can show you a summary of:
-
The status on a loan officer's ranking for the month.
-
This month's most popular loan category.
-
The leading purpose and security assigned to loans.
-
The rate where this month's loans were approved.
Use this screen to choose the parameters for the report (see Field Descriptions below). When ready, use Enter to generate the report. See below for samples of each of the six reports that can be created.
-
Remember that the system retains just one application on file for every member who has processed a loan through the CU*BASE lending software. It also will retain all activity for the last 60 days or two calendar months. Therefore, if you choose a date more than 2 months ago, data may be incomplete.
CU*TIP:Use Detail(F12) to print a more detailed report to be used for your monthly Loan Officer Minutes.
