Card Purge Configuration

This configuration controls the options for the card purge process. Check the box if the card purge process is supported by the plastics vendor, and enter the purge parameters for the cards to include by the number of months a card has been inactive and the number of months a card has been closed, as well as the upper limit of allowed purged cards.

Card Controls Configuration via It's Me 247 Mobile App

The remaining features are used to control the Card Controls process, available via the It's Me 247 Mobile App. This functionality allows members the ability to deactivate and reactivate their ATM/Debit/Credit card through a feature in the app. The credit union also has the ability within the ATM/Debit/Credit card settings to activate or deactivate a member card. This does NOT close the card.

Field Name

Description

Allow member activation/deactivation for debit/ATM cards

Check this box to allow members the ability to manage the active status of their ATM/debit card via the mobile app.

Allow member activation/deactivation for credit cards

Check this box to allow members the ability to manage the active status of their credit card via the mobile app.

Send email confirmation after card activation/deactivation

Select whether to send an email notification to the member's email address on file when an activation or deactivation occurs via a change by the member, by a CU employee, by either, or by neither ("none"  will send NO email confirmation).

Allow card notifications

Check this box to allow members the ability to configure activity alerts within the mobile app. Activity alerts can be configured to notify a member of a transaction over a certain dollar amount, as well as Card Not Present and Foreign Transactions.

Rewards program supported

Select whether or not a rewards program (such as ScoreCard) is supported for the vendor and credit union.

Activate VAU/ABU stored card detail update

Check this box to activate the Visa® Account Updater (VAU) and Mastercard® Automatic Billing Updater (ABU) service. This service allows you to attach a previous card number on file to a new card order so that payments with merchants (such as Netflix, for example) will still go through without issue.  Contact SettleMINT EFT for more information on activating or deactivating this service.

Card expiration date randomization supported

Select this option to randomize the card expiration date. When ordering a card, the year of expiration will be calculated using the configured term, such as 2 or 3 years out, but the month will be randomly selected within that year.

For both randomization options, when selected, the word "Randomized" will appear next to the selected randomized item in the BIN Configuration.

These features must first be turned on within the top level Vendor Configuration before it can be turned on for the credit union vendor.

Contact SettleMINT EFT to engage these options for a credit union. Users can also use the CU*Answers Store to order ATM/Debit or Credit Card randomization.

Randomization supported

Card # randomization

Select this option to randomly select a card number at card creation from all available cards in the database. Note that this option may not be available for all vendors.

Card increment randomization

Select this option to randomly select a card increment between 1-10 to use when assigning the card number.

None

This is the default option. Select this radio button to opt out of card number or increment randomization.

 

For both randomization options, when selected, the word "Randomized" will appear next to the selected randomized item in the BIN Configuration.

Note that you can choose either card number or increment randomization.

These features must first be turned on within the top level Vendor Configuration before it can be turned on for the credit union vendor.
