Manually Post Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) Transactions

These steps explain how to manually post multiple RDC transactions.

  • We suggest your credit union creates a mail/direct post code for the manual RDC posting process using Tool #534 Misc. Posting Codes Configuration.

  1. Launch Tool #341 Direct/Mail Member Posting.

  2. Enter the Branch ID (most commonly 01).

  3. Enter the Post code.

    • Use the post code you created from Tool #534 Misc. Posting Codes Configuration. This will Automatically fill in G/L #.

    • If no codes have been configured, choose Post code 999 and the G/L account field will become available, so you can enter the account number manually.

  4. Select whether to allow accounts to go negative by checking the Allow negative balance checkbox (optional).

  5. Manually enter each deposit.

    • Enter the Account # (base account and suffix).

    • Select Deposit for the Transaction Type.

    • Enter the # of Hold Days.

      1. If you are not allowed, this is configured in Tool #849 Automated Holds Configuration.

    • Enter the Amount.

    • Enter the Description (“Mobile Deposit”).

      1. After entering a transaction description for the first deposit, you can leave the remaining Description lines blank, and when you use Enter, the system will automatically copy the last input description for all remaining items in the list.

  6. Click Post when all transactions have been entered to post the transactions.
