Reduce or Waive Hold for Members in Good Standing

These steps explain how to reduce or waive the hold period of an electronic (ATM or teller if configured) deposit made by a member in good standing at your credit union.  

  1. Launch Tool #499 Member In Good Standing Configuration.

  2. On the Member in Good Standing Configuration pop-up, check the box labeled Activate member in good standing based on.

  3. Choose one of the three available parameters upon which to activate the feature: 

    • Tiered Services: With this selection, a member’s deposit hold will be based on the member’s Tiered Service level. Learn More.

    • Marketing Clubs: With this selection, a member’s deposit hold will be based on the member’s Marketing Club status. Learn More.

    • Basic Parameters: With this selection, a member’s deposit hold will be based on such things such as the member’s age, length of membership, etc. Learn More.  

  4. In the field that reads Deposit hold group for delinquent balance accounts, enter the deposit hold group code to be assigned to a member when one of their loans becomes delinquent.

    • To view codes your credit union has configured, click Electronic Hold Config. Learn More.

  5. In the field that reads Deposit hold group for negative balance accounts, enter the deposit hold group code to be assigned to a member when one of their accounts reaches a negative balance.

    • Check the box labeled Ignore if within negative balance limit if you’d like the system to ignore the deposit hold group code for negative balance accounts that have a negative balance limit configured. Learn More.

  6. In the field that reads Assign deposit hold group for new memberships, enter the deposit hold group code to be immediately assigned to new members until they are evaluated against the Good Standing parameters.

  7. Click the forward arrow.
