Update Savings Bond Information

These steps explain how to update savings bond information.

• These steps are helpful in cases where a savings bond is redeemed.

1. Launch Tool #913 Update Savings Bond Information.

2. On the Savings Bond Redemption pop-up, enter the member's account number.

3. Enter the member's Social Security number.

   • If you are updating savings bond information for a new bond redemption, leave the Sequence # field blank.

   • If you are maintaining a previous bond redemption, fill in the Sequence # field.

4. Click the forward arrow.

5. On the Savings Bond Maintenance screen, enter the Principal paid and Interest paid.

   • This amount can be obtained from a bond valuation page, which you can print by visiting https://www.treasurydirect.gov/BC/SBCPrice.

6. Click Post.
