This screen appears after using Debit Authorization (F10) on the initial Plastics/OTB Inquiry screen.

  • NOTE: Most debit card providers use their own recording system for use in calculating available balances for debit card purchases. This screen is only used when CU*BASE stores and tracks debit card authorizations on behalf of the debit card provider. Therefore, this feature may not be applicable for your credit union.

This screen displays all outstanding debit card “hold” authorizations for this member's debit card(s). These are purchases that have been authorized through the debit card processor but not yet cleared on the member's accounts. This inquiry may be helpful to help answer member inquiries about outstanding debit card purchases.

Keep in mind that these “holds” are used only by the debit card processor when calculating available funds. CU*BASE does not subtract these amounts from balances in Inquiry or other systems, and will not consider these “uncollected” funds for any other process (share draft postings, ACH, etc.). This is simply a feature used by the debit card processor only.

CU*TIP: If a member has outstanding authorizations, there will be a comment in the Member Account Comments pop-up window. This comment is deleted once all authorized purchases have been cleared on the member's accounts.
