Correct an Invalid MICR Number
These steps explain how to correct an invalid MICR number in the cross reference file.

Performing these steps will prevent checks with an invalid MICR number from showing up on the "List Exceptions/Return File Report" (LNDET). After these steps are completed, the next time a check comes in with this MICR number, it will post to the account number you entered on this screen.

Launch Tool #886 Update Check Proc. Cross Reference File.

In the Cross Reference ID field, enter the MICR account number from the LNDET report.

Click the forward arrow.

Enter the correct account base and suffix.
