Delete Username for Online Banking

These steps explain how to delete the username a member set up to log into online banking.

  • A username can be used in place of an account number when logging into online banking.

  • Only members can create user names in online banking.

  • Employees can only view or delete a member’s username in CBX.

  • Always follow credit union policy prior to resetting a member’s password or security questions via CBX, especially if the member is not present. Verify Member, available on several screens, allows you to access a screen containing member information such as a code word that you can use to confirm the member’s identity.

  1. Launch Tool #14 Member Personal Banker.

  2. Enter the account base.

  3. Click the forward arrow.

    • You may need to click the forward arrow again to move past the Member Reminders pop-up.

  4. Select Online banking/ARU (activate, change PIN/password; view password history).

  5. Click the forward arrow..

  6. The username, if one exists, will appear at the top of the screen.
  7. Check the box labeled Delete username.

  8. Click Submit.

  9. Be sure a reason code is selected.

  10. Click Reset Credentials.
