Open Certificate
These steps explain how to open a certificate of deposit.

Depending on your credit union configuration settings, you may be prompted to print forms or a receipt after following the steps below.

Launch Tool #3 Open/Maintain Memberships/Accounts.

Select Add new sub-account.

Enter the account base.

Click the forward arrow.

Click Open CD.

In the CD acct type field, enter the type of CD the member would like to open, based on the list of available CDs below.

In the CD amount field, enter the amount of the CD.

In the Transfer from field, enter the account from which funds will be transferred.

In the Reason code field, enter a reason code, if applicable.

Ensure all details are correct on the Create/Open New Certificate screen.

Click Post.
