Run QualiFile Risk Assessment Scan On Non-Member Joint Owner
These steps explain how to run a QualiFile risk-assessment scan on a non-member joint owner and view the resulting report.
Prior to being able to run QualiFile risk assessments, your credit union must first have it activated by Lender*VP, which you can do by filling out the QualiFile Sign-Up form.
-
If you set the QualiFile Risk-Assessment scan to run automatically during new membership workflow via Tool #1004 Workflow Controls: Open Mbrships/Accts, you will not see the Risk Assessment and Run Assessment buttons mentioned below.
-
The risk assessment feature produces a report that assists with decisions about approving new memberships, sub-accounts, and loans. The report is not saved by CU*BASE. Follow the instructions provided by ChexSystems to view your previously requested reports.
-
An Audit Tracker will not be stored on the system for the non-member unless the non-member opens a membership. In that case, the Audit Tracker would be stored under the new membership’s base share (000) account.
-
If you see a reply that the QualiFile decision is in “review,” remember that the first name field is limited to 12 characters when running QualiFile. If the non-member’s name is longer than 12 characters, the scan must be run manually via their website.
-
Launch Tool #997 Work With Non-Member Database.
-
Input the non-member joint owner’s SSN/TIN and use Enter to proceed.
-
From the Non-Member Information screen, click Risk Assessment to process the QualiFile Risk Assessment.
-
Note: there are other ways to access this same screen, such as through Tool #20 Update Account Information or Tool #3 Open/Maintain Memberships/Accounts.
-
-
Run the QualiFile Risk-Assessment Scan.
-
Start from step 4.
