Run QualiFile Risk-Assessment Scan
These steps explain how to run a QualiFile risk-assessment scan and view the resulting report.

Prior to being able to use this tool, your credit union must first have it activated by Lender*VP, which you can do by filling out the QualiFile Sign-Up form.

This tool produces a report that assists with decisions about approving new memberships, sub-accounts, and loans.

The report is not saved by CU*BASE. Follow the instructions provided by ChexSystems to view your previously requested reports.

This tool can be used for primary account holders, joint owners, and non-members. For business requests, access the FIS website.

In addition to the way outlined below, this report can also be accessed via tool #3: Open/Maintain Memberships/Accounts.

Whenever you run a QualiFile scan, a note will be added to the member's Audit Tracker record. You specify the memo type codes to use for analysis purposes. Learn More.

If you set the QualiFile Risk-Assessment scan to run automatically, you will not see the Risk Assessment and Run Assessment buttons mentioned below.

If you see a reply that the QualiFile decision is in “review,” remember that the first name field is limited to 12 characters when running QualiFile. If the member’s name is longer than 12 characters, the scan must be run manually via their website.

When you're finished viewing the report, close your browser and click Continue on the QualiFile Risk Assessment pop-up to return to your starting point.

Launch Tool #53 Process Member Applications.

Enter the account base on the Account Base Selection screen.

Click Risk Assessment.

Click Run Assessment from the QualiFile Risk Assessment screen.

You'll then see a pop-up message that reads "Sending QualiFile assessment request for [member name]. Please wait."

Click Copy beside the Passphrase field on the QualiFile Risk Assessment pop-up.

Click View Report.

Your web browser will then launch with the report.

Paste the password you copied earlier into the View Report pop-up window.

Click Unlock.
