Update Investment Subsidiary Market Price

These steps explain how to update an investment subsidiary market price.

 

1. Launch Tool #895 Update Investment Market Price.

2. Select Investment ID, Investment Type, FASB Code, or Broker ID for what you want to update.

3. Enter in the Record Market Price Change as of Date.

4. Select Override Market Value.

   • This will allow you to enter an exact value manually for Market Value if the Price Units is not appropriate.

5. Select Add/Update.

6. Launch Tool #408 Investment Trial Balance Report to determine your J/E entry for reserve.

   • This information is located at the bottom of the trial balance summary.
