This window will appear when you use Tool #1195 Tool Usage Analysis Dashboard. It can also be accessed via the Usage Analysis button on the Employee Tool Assignment dashboard.

This screen compiles statistics about how often tools are accessed by your employees from the CU*BASE home page. Although this dashboard is useful for security officers looking at how tools are being used by their employees, it’s also designed for credit union leaders who are curious.  Are there tools already in your toolbox you aren’t taking advantage of, that might warrant further investigation?

How can I see which employees have been accessing a particular tool #, and when they are using it?

HINT: For related statistics about your employee profiles and special security settings, use the Emp Profile Analysis button to display the Employee Profile Analysis dashboard.

You can see the total # of employees assigned to the tools as well as the number of times the tool was actually launched during the current month, last month, last 90 days and last 6 months.  By default the list is in order by the # of times the tool has been used so far this month. Click on any column heading to change the sort order (click once for ascending order, again for descending).

  • IMPORTANT:  Some of this data did not start being compiled until the 18.10 release in October/November of 2018.  Stats prior to that period may show incomplete counts for some tools.

  • NOTE: Unlike the main Employee Security dashboard, which shows programs, some of which may have multiple tools associated with them, this dashboard shows individual tool #s.  So, for example, tools that have both an update and view-only version will be shown separately on this analysis dashboard.

To view specific employees who are currently assigned to a tools, select the tool in the list and choose Show Assigned Employees.  Remember: this will show current tool assignments only.  The # of Times Used counts simply record when tools were launched. These counts are not affected by an employee's access being removed, either temporarily or permanently, during the period being analyzed.

NOTE:  IDs that are flagged as templates will not be included in these statistics.  (If you modify an existing employee ID and flag it as a template, that ID would still be part of any counts previously gathered, from when it was not a template.
