Access this screen by selecting Tool #254: Configure Investment Type Codes.

This is the first of two screens used to configure investment type codes. Investment Types are a way to identify individual investments by broad categories or groups for easier reporting and analysis.

  • For example, a credit union might break down its investment portfolio into four broad categories: Bonds, Government Securities, Certificates and Miscellaneous. Depending on the scope of your credit union’s investment activities, you may define as many or as few investment types as needed.

You will see investment type codes on the various investment reports that are available. For example, both the Investment Trial Balance report and the Investment Activity Report can be printed for a single Investment Type, to make it easy to analyze all similar investments. The Investment Register/Schedule report also can be sorted by investment type code.

Enter a corporation ID and a two-character Investment Type code (letters or numbers are allowed). Use Enter to proceed to the second screen.
