Credit Union Marketing Tips
This screen is available via Rate Inquiry, Loan Quoter and Loan Request features. This screen is accessed during the loan product configuration flow by selecting "Marketing tips" on the Loan Product Configuration Option screen. It is also part of the screen flow when creating a new loan product.

Product Marketing Tips and Procedures Overview
This screen lets you view or modify marketing tips associated with a specific credit union product (shares, certificates, or loans). This feature is designed to store the ”sales” script your staff should use when explaining and selling a credit union product to a member. Include answers to typical questions, suggestions for related materials or demonstrations, and tips for overcoming objections.
When you have completed your entries on this screen, use the Save Changes button to save changes, then use the Back up button to exit the screen.
Use this to create a list of sales hints and instructions for selling this product to members or the “sales” script your staff should use when explaining and selling a credit union product to a member. Include answers to typical questions, suggestions for related materials or demonstrations, and tips for overcoming objections.
There are two methods for displaying marketing tips for your staff. You can use either or both as needed. If you choose to use both, CU*BASE will display your designated link automatically. When the browser window is closed, the user will then see the marketing tips entered.
If you have already set up a page on your Intranet or your public website that contains the tips your staff will need to sell products, use the URL Link field to enter the address of this page. Use a format like this:
www.abccu.com (a website)
https://192.168.1.11/insideabccu/msr.htm (an intranet page)
To verify that this link will work, click the checkmark button on the right side of the field (a browser will open and you will be navigated to the site). Case-sensitive URLs can be entered if necessary.
With this method, when the Marketing Tips are accessed, the system will automatically launch a browser and open the designated web or intranet page. (The CU*BASE Marketing Tips screen will not display at all.)
If you do not have a website or Intranet page, use the Comment lines at the bottom of the screen to enter up enter the tips here. Up to 99 lines of free-form text can be entered. When the first 12 lines are filled, use Enter to save the changes, then use Roll keys to display additional lines.
If you have already entered marketing tips on another product, you can copy them into this product so you do not have to retype them! Just use F10-Copy Tips. Click here for more information.
If you want to pull in text from a library of Talking Points, use Talking Points (F9) and select from the master library. You can append the paragraphs to the end of what you've already entered, or replace your text with text from the library. Click here for instructions.
What are Talking Points?
CU*TIP: If only a URL is entered, the next time you enter this screen the Comment lines will be hidden. To use them, you will need to clear the URL Link field, use Enter to Save, Backup (F3) to exit, then re-enter the screen to allow it to refresh.
