Activate Debit Card Round Up

These steps explain how to activate Debit Card Round Up, a service that rounds up a member's debit card purchases to the nearest dollar and deposits the change into a designated account.

  1. Launch Tool #777 Savings/Checking Products Configuration.

  2. In the Dividend Application Definition pop-up, choose an account type to which you'd like the service to apply.

  3. Click Select.

  4. Check the box labeled 'Offer debit card round up program' on the Share Account Setup screen.

  5. Click the Debit Card Round Up button at the bottom of the screen.

  6. Select transactions to be included in the round-up calculation on the Configure Debit Card Round Up screen.

  7. Click the Select button to choose account types to which you'd like members to be able to transfer their round-up funds.

  8. Select the desired account type(s) on the Dividend Application Selection pop-up.

  9. Click Select.

  10. In the Configure Debit Card Round Up screen, input a transaction description for the round-up transfers.

  11. In the Configure Debit Card Round Up screen, optionally allow members to enroll in debit card round up online.

  12. Click Continue.

  13. In the Comments box on the Member Sales Information screen, input applicable marketing language for the Debit Card Round Up program. (This is what the member s see if you allow them to enroll online.)

  14. Click the orange Save Changes button below the Comments area.

Note

This service costs the credit union nothing. The round-up amount is withdrawn from the same member account as the purchase itself in a batch transaction posted at the end of the day.

Only checking accounts are eligible for this service.
