Copy/Merge ACH Distribution Records

These steps explain how to copy all ACH distribution information from one company into another in situations where a company begins transmitting using a different company name and ID. This eliminates manual re-keying of distribution details.

  • This action copies all member distribution information (depositor account numbers, distribution codes, sequence numbers, etc.) from the old company ID into the new company ID.

  • After performing the steps below, when you go into the new company, you’ll see the new transfers and posting account numbers.

  • To view the records that show the results of the Copy/Merge function, look for records with the wording “DEPOSITOR DELETED” in the Daily File Maintenance Report (LELOG2).

  1. Launch Tool #989 Work With ACH Members/Companies.

  2. In the Company name field, enter the new company name.

  3. Click the forward arrow.

  4. Select the old company ID.

  5. Click Copy/Merge Dist.

  6. In the To company ID field, enter the new company ID.

  7. In the To company name field, enter the new company name.

  8. Click Copy/Merge.

  9. Click Add/Update.
