Set Up an ACH Record

These steps explain how to add a master ACH record for your members.

  1. Launch Tool #989 Work with ACH Members/Companies.

  2. Click the Add Company/Depositor button at the bottom of the ACH Distribution Maintenance screen.

  3. Enter the company name on the Add New ACH Master Record pop-up.

  4. Enter the company ID.

  5. Enter the depositor ID.

  6. Enter the ACH member name.

  7. Click the lookup button beside the ACH tran code field.

  8. Select a code on the Code Description pop-up.

  9. Click Select.

  10. Click Add on the Add New ACH Master Record pop-up.

  11. In the Account or G/L # field on the ACH Distribution Maintenance (Base Distribution) screen , enter the G/L number (or account number and type) that corresponds to the ACH record and distribution.

  12. Enter the distribution type or select the lookup button to view a list of available distribution types.

  13. Click Add/Update.

Note

An example in which the above-listed steps would be helpful would be when a new member informs you how he'd like his payroll distributions to be handled before his first paycheck is received. Instead of recording it in a Tracker, you could create a new ACH master record with all of the requested distributions. If the incoming record matches exactly, it will post as instructed, but even if it does not, the distributions can easily be replicated on the final record so that they do not have to be re-keyed.
