Create Notice of Change

These steps explain how to create a Notice of Change (NOC) from the Exceptions list.

  • Performing the steps below only generates an NOC record that will be transmitted back to the originator via the Fed. It does NOT post anything to the member account. If there is a dollar amount on an NOC item, you may need to manually post a transaction against the member account and the ACH exception G/L account (870.11) using the account adjustment option.

  1. Launch Tool #1875 Work ACH Exceptions.

  2. Select the exception from the list on the Work with Daily ACH Exceptions screen.

  3. Click NOC.

  4. In the Change fields at the bottom of the ACH NOC Entry screen, enter the necessary information based on the reason for the exception as indicated in the Change code field.

  5. Click the forward arrow.
