Edit Email Signature

These steps explain how to edit your credit union's signature line that appears on all email messages you send to members.

NOTE: In order to comply with CAN-SPAM rules this 5-line signature line MUST contain the following components:

  • Credit Union name

  • Credit Union physical address

  • Opt out/unsubscribe language + option

  1. Launch Tool #497 Member Connect Marketing Tools.

  2. Enter the name of a file that is saved in QUERYXX in the File name field on the Member Connect Setup pop-up.   

    • XX = your credit union ID

  3. Select Online Banking And/Or Email Message.

  4. Click the forward arrow.

  5. Enter 'SL' in the Message type box on the Member Connect Message Maintenance screen.

  6. Click the forward arrow.

  7. Select the message.

  8. Click Change.

  9. In the Message box, make the desired revisions to your signature line.

    • Only five lines of text are allowed. If you type more lines, you will see them in the box, but they will not be saved.

    • Lines can be up to 60 characters long, including spaces. Text beyond the 60-character limit will bump to a new line.

    • Hyperlinks are not supported by CU*BASE. However, a member’s email server may auto link web addresses, as long as they fit within one line of the message.

    • Click the forward arrow to move to the next line.

  10. Click Save Changes.
