Write Off OTB Loan

These steps explain how to write off an OTB (off trial balance) loan.

• Prior to completing these steps, you will need to create a loan category and create a loan product for OTB loans.

• Since you'll be creating a loan simply for the purpose of writing it off, be sure to select the appropriate OTB loan product code when creating the loan request and do not pull a credit report or print loan forms.

1. Create a new loan request for the amount being written off.

2. Continue to create the loan.  

3. Disburse the loan funds to the appropriate G/L.

4. Write off the loan.
