This screen is accessed via OPER Tool #5514 Configure CU FROM Email Addresses

This screen is the entry way to configure FROM email addresses that are sent by the system.  

If you wish to change a credit union FROM email address, visit the Network Services Store.

WARNING: Before You Enter an Email Address

To keep our network email traffic from being blacklisted as spam, this must be an actual email account that exists and is regularly monitored. In addition, that domain must be set up with an SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record that indicates our system is authorized to send email from that address. Lastly, your domain needs a DKIM Key record; if you do not have a DKIM Key record for “cubasemail” in your DNS table, you can purchase a key on the CU*Answers store.

If the email address entered is not compliant with these requirements, it will be changed to an address with this format: YourCreditUnionName@creditunion-notifications.com. Once you have made the necessary configuration changes with your email provider to meet these requirements, you can enter your own address again.

Why does it matter if I enter an invalid email address? Doesn't the email just get returned?

Screen Overview

At this time you can configure FROM email addresses:

Credit Union General Email Address

This is the FROM email address to be used for emails to members from the credit union, including Member Reach and Member Connect emails, eAlerts, and other general communications.  Bounce-backs (returned emails) will be directed to this address.  This address is also displayed as a link in the Contact Requests feature in online banking, for members to use to contact the credit union directly via email.

Credit Union Loan Status Change Emails (underwriting code changes)

Enter the from email address to be used when the underwriting code is changed on the Loan Recap screen.  For configured underwriting codes, an email is sent to a configured group of loan department employees alerting them that the status of the loan is changed.  The email configured in this location serves as the FROM email address for these emails.  

Accounts Payable Approver Notifications

Enter the FROM email address to be used for email notifications sent to approvers when an accounts payable invoice has been assigned for approval. Bounce-backs (returned emails) will be directed to this address.

ACH Payment Advice Emails

Enter the FROM email address to be used for payment advice emails to accounts payable vendors which alert the vendor that an Invoice payment has been remitted. Bounce-backs (returned emails) will be directed to this address.

For email communications sent to your members by CU*BASE on your behalf (eStatement notifications, eAlerts, Member Connect email messages, etc.), you will need to use your own domain for email.
