Using "Math +/-" Calculations
This topic relates to printing financial reports via Tool #640 Print CU Financials.
The Math +/- field is used to compare any two columns on the report by adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing the figures in the columns.
-
First, set up the columns to be printed on the report, using Method 1 or Method 2.
-
In an unused column of the report, move to the Math +/- field and enter the calculation, using column numbers and standard mathematical operators.
+ Add * Multiply
- Subtract / Divide-
For example, to subtract column 3 from column 2, enter “2-3” into the field.
-
-
Use Enter to proceed to the next screen.
Sample
For example, say you want to know the difference between figures for the first and second quarter. The sample below shows how the fields would be set up to accomplish this mathematical calculation. Notice the calculation “1-2” (column 1 minus column 2) in the third column.
