Add PIN/PW Reset Reason Code

These steps explain how to add reason codes for online banking pin and password resets performed by both credit union staff and members.

  • These codes are selected by credit union employees in CU*BASE (Member Personal Banker), by members using online banking and audio response, and by automated processes in online banking and audio response.

  • These codes appear on the PIN/Password Member History Inquiry, which lists PIN and password changes.

  • If you ever need to delete a reason code starting with "D," you won't be able to as these are CU*BASE-defined codes that are hard coded into the CU*BASE system.

  1. Launch Tool #268 Configure PIN/PW Reset Reason Codes.

  2. Click Add on the PIN Change Reason Master Maintenance pop-up.

  3. Enter a one- or two-digit code in the Reason Code field on the PIN Change Reason Master Maintenance pop-up.

  4. Enter a new reason description in the Reason Description field.

  5. Check the Set as Default box if you'd like to set that reason as the default whenever a member's PIN/password is reset.

  6. Click the forward arrow.
