Apply Principal Payment to Loan via Teller Processing

These steps explain how to apply a principal payment to a loan in Teller Processing.

  • Be sure to activate your drawer prior to following these steps.

  • If an eReceipt appears after posting the transaction, have the member sign the signature pad. Then print and save the receipt.

  1. Launch Tool #1 Teller Line Posting.

  2. Enter your employee ID and password on the Teller Processing screen.

  3. Enter the member's account number.

  4. Enter the member's name ID if required.

  5. Click the forward arrow.

    • You may need to click the forward arrow again after verifying the information in the Choose an Owner and Verify Member pop-ups.

  6. On the main Teller Posting screen, deposit funds in the Cash field or withdraw the funds from an account by entering the amount in a Withdrawal Amount field.

  7. Enter the payment amount in the Deposit Amount field in the row that corresponds to the loan.

  8. Enter "L" in the Proc Code field in the row that corresponds to the loan.

  9. Click the forward arrow to confirm that the Cash back field is correct.  

  10. Click Post.
