Enable Name ID Verification
These steps explain how to enable the Name ID Verification feature, which helps ensure that the correct account number is entered in teller processing and loan disbursement screens.

Once this feature is activated, staff must enter the first two letters of the member’s last name, in addition to the account number, in order to advance to the next screen.

Launch Tool #326 CU Hardware Configuration.

Select Terminal/Workstation on the Device Configuration pop-up.

Click Continue.

Select the desired workstation on the first Device Configuration screen.

Click Select.

On the second Device Configuration screen, select one of the following options from the Name ID verification drop-down menu:

Name ID with hint: With this option, a name ID will be required, and a hint (generally the first two letters of the member's last name) will display at the bottom of the screen if the staff member fails to enter the correct name ID.

Name ID without hint: With this option, a name ID will be required, and the credit union can decide how the staff member can find out the correct name ID if the staff member fails to enter the correct ID.
