Create New Employee ID

These steps explain how to create a new employee ID for a new CU*BASE user.

  1. Launch Tool #327 CU*BASE Employee Security.

  2. Click “Add employee” button.

  3. On the Employee Profile pop-up, input a unique two-character ID in the Employee ID field.

  4. In the Name field, input the employee's name.

  5. In the Branch location/Primary vault # field, input the vault with which the employee is associated.

    • To select multiple vaults, click the Select button after Other authorized vaults.

    • If the employee is not a teller who signs into a vault each day, enter the branch number where the employee most often works.

  6. Optionally, fill in any applicable information for the following fields:

    • Check the This is a template box if you would like to flag this employee profile as a template.

    • Check the Teller Posting box if you would like to authorize the employee to post teller transactions.

    • Input the employee’s CU-defined team code in the Team code field.

    • In the Job class field, input the code corresponding to the employee's job function or click the magnifying glass icon to select from a list.

    • In the Comments field, input general comments about the employee, if needed.

    • Next to Branches to exclude, click the Select button and choose any applicable branch IDs, if needed.

      1. This prevents the employee from working with accounts attached to specific branches.

    • Next to Corp IDs to exclude, click the Select button and choose any applicable corporation IDs, if needed.

      1. This prevents the employee from working with accounts attached to specific corporations.

    • Check the Restrict auto-security for this employee box if you would like this employee to be required to always enter their credentials to access tools.

    • In the Start date field, input the employee’s start date.

    • In the NMLSR# field, input the NMLSR# for the employee.

    • In the Email address field, input the employee’s email address.

  7. Use Enter. The new employee ID is created with an automatic temporary password of “x1234”.
