Work Delinquent Account
These steps explain how to work a delinquent account.

Launch Tool #982 Work Collections.

On the Collections Member Selection screen, select Work with delinquent loans.
 - 
                                                
Click the forward arrow.
 - 
                                                
On the Collections Member Inquiry screen, select the account you want to work.
 - 
                                                
Choose the Work Member option.
 - 
                                                
Select the member’s Collections Tracker from the list on the Member Tracker Review screen.

If you don't see one, you can create a Collections Tracker.

Choose the Update option.
 - 
                                                
Enter a memo type in the Memo type field on the Member Tracker Entry screen.
 - 
                                                
Record your communication or activity with the member in the space provided.

Before writing your comments, list the sub-account first. All sub-accounts for the membership use the same Collections Tracker.
 - 
                                                        
Once saved, this text cannot be changed. Be sure to proof your work.
 - 
                                                        
To find out personal details about the member, click Phone Inquiry.

Click Save/Continue.
 - 
                                                
On the third and final Member Tracker Entry screen, leave the Update last contact date for this account box checked.
 - 
                                                
Leave the Entry just made requires a follow-up box checked if the Tracker requires a follow-up.

A follow-up is required only when there is a date-driven action, such as a “Promise to Pay” or court date associated with the task.
 - 
                                                        
If the conversation requires a follow-up, enter a follow-up date and, if needed, the name of the staff member to whom the follow-up is assigned.
