Add Account Comment

These steps explain how to add a comment that an employee can view in CU*BASE.

  1. Launch Phone Operator by clicking the phone icon at the top of your CU*BASE home screen. 

  2. Input the member's account number.

  3. Click the forward arrow.

  4. Click the forward arrow again to move past the Member Account Comments pop-up and any other pop-ups that may appear.

  5. Click Add Cmt/Message on the Phone Operator account processing screen.

  6. Leave the selection at 'Leave msg for other CU employees' on the Member Account Message Options pop-up.

  7. Click the forward arrow.

  8. Input '1' in the Type field on the Member Account Comment Maintenance screen.

  9. Input a line number in the Line # field.

    • This must be a line without an existing comment.

  10. Click the forward arrow.

  11. In the Reference account type field on the second Member Account Comment Maintenance screen, input the suffix of the sub-account to which the comment pertains.

  12. In the Purge date field, input the date on which you'd like the comment to expire.

    • By default, comments expire after a year.

    • Input all 9’s if you'd like the comment to be visible indefinitely.

  13. In the Text for comment window field, input the comment text.

  14. Click the forward arrow.

Note

The account comment that you add will appear on the Comments and Verify Member pop-ups when an account is accessed via Phone Operator, Inquiry, or Teller.
