Cash a Cashiers Check for Non-Member
These steps explain how to cash a cashier's check for a non-member.

After completing these steps, be sure to keep the cashier's check with your batch to be scanned.

If an eReceipt appears after posting the transaction, have the member sign the signature pad. Then print and save the receipt.

Launch Tool #1 Teller Line Posting.

Enter your employee ID and password on the Teller Processing screen.

Click Non-Member Services.

After you click this button, most fields on the screen will disappear, except the First name, Last name, DBA name, and SSN/TIN fields.

If you do not see this button, you will need to activate non-member check-cashing services.

Enter the non-member's Social Security Number in the SSN/TIN field.

Keep the Process Code selection at Funds in/serving primary member.

Click the forward arrow.

Enter the individual's information on the Non-Member Information screen. Enter the individual's first name, last name, name ID, birth date, gender, address, and home phone number.

If this individual is already in your non-member database, move past the Verify Member pop-up and skip to step 9.

Click the forward arrow after entering the non-member information.

Click the forward arrow to move past the OFAC Scan pop-up after reviewing the OFAC scan results.

Click the forward arrow again to move past the Blocked Persons Database pop-up after reviewing the results.

Click the forward arrow again to move past the Verify Member pop-up after verifying the non-member's ID.

Click the arrow icon button beside the Outside checks field on the Non-Member Account screen.

Enter the amount of the cashier's check under the Check Amount heading on the Outside Checks screen.

Click Continue.

Be sure that the fee is applied, if applicable, in the Check cash fee field on the Non-Member Account screen.

Disburse cash to the non-member according to the amount in the Cash back field.

Click Post.
